Wear of Insignia and Accouterments

General

a. This regulation, CTA 50–900, and special authorization by HQDA specify the only items of insignia that personnel may wear on any of the U.S. Army uniforms.
b. The insignia worn by military personnel designates grade, branch, organization, duty assignments, and prior Army service.
c. When authorized by the commander, members of honor guards, color guards, and similar details will wear the prescribed uniform with authorized accouterments and those accessories authorized in CTA 50–900 (see para 2–6e). d. Personnel will submit all requests for insignia designs to The Institute of Heraldry, U.S. Army, 9325 Gunston
