AR 670-1: 20-23. Overcoat, ceremonial, blue
Quick Answer
The ceremonial blue overcoat (CBO) is an optional purchase item authorized for general officers, their aides-de-camp, CSM, and enlisted aides. A white scarf is also authorized. Upon reassignment, the general officer and CSM retain the overcoat; aides must turn it in. The CBO is worn with the ASU dress variation and mess uniforms.
