AR 670-1: Belt and Buckle Requirements
Belt wear requirements vary by uniform type.
Combat Uniform (OCP):
• Tan or coyote rigger-style belt authorized
• Black web belt with brass tip authorized
• Belt will not extend beyond the tip of the buckle
• Belt color will be tan 499 (coyote)
Service Uniforms (ASU/AGSU):
• Black leather belt with brass buckle
• Buckle displays the Army seal or is plain brass
• Belt properly fitted around natural waistline
• Belt and buckle maintained in polished condition
All belts must be worn so the excess belt passes through the buckle and doubles back on itself, with the end of the belt pointing to the wearer's left.
